‘I was born and raised in Jackson, TN and graduated from South Side High School. I also graduated from Union University with a double major in Mathematics and Physics.

After college, I was a Math teacher with the Madison County School System. Then, I was employed 25 years with VF Corporation from Engineer to District Manager. Currently, I am Chief Manager of Lowrance Services LLC.

While with VF Corporation, I moved several times, but I always injected myself in the community where I lived. Just a few examples of my actives outside of Tennessee were Member of the AL Governor’s Economic Advisory Board, Chairman of the Gas Board for Russellville, AL, and Member of the Business Council of AL. I also served as President of the Franklin County, AL Republican Club. Other past activities include Youth Ball Coach, Kawanis President and Rotary Board of Directors. My hobbies included golf, softball and cattle farming.

Upon returning to Tennessee, I sought ways to serve my community. I was elected to the Madison County Commission where I served 10 years as County Commissioner and 14 years on the Madison County Budget Committee. I served on numerous committees in Madison County, including the Industrial Board and Sports Plex Oversight Committee. From 2019 thru 2022, I served as Chairman of the Madison County Republican Party.
More recently, I have been an active member of Englewood Baptist Church and have previously been a leader in the Mission Friends Organization at West Jackson Baptist Church.

I am married to Beverly Herron Lowrance. We have two daughters and three grandchildren.
